GPS Map not coming up after run - Blaze

I have the Blaze. I went for a run yesterday and the map still hasn't come up on my dashboard on the app. The GPS was connected to my iPhone and has clocked up the right amount of miles but the map isn't showing up detailing the map itself. Any ideas?

If you have a Blaze or other Fitbit that doesn’t have a built-in GPS (which
is most), then you need to carry your phone to record on a map where you
run. Or you can simply just let the Fitbit count your steps without
plotting your run on a map.

I carry my phone on me and have my Fitbit app running so both are paired.
More accurate distance is recorded. Using your Fitbit only relies on the
step distance you have set up in the app (e.g. 10 steps is 9 metres or
whatever).

Hi,

I always have my phone with me - still doesn’t work always.

Thanks.

I found that I must have the Fitbit app open and your device paired. You
can start the run from the menu on the watch (I have a Blaze) or simply
start it from the phone itself in the app.

Doing this maps the run. However, if you start it from the phone, make
sure you set the type of exercise to run otherwise it won’t map it for you
if it stays on walk.

After all the work on Versa and then the next Versa ... your "hey customer troubleshoot and track and report for us" advise is more like ... "hey customer pay, the blah blah blah, click, blah blah, reload, delete, hop on one foot blah blah blah ... "

Goodbye FitBit!

Having the same issue. No map to show my route!

I figured out the problem. You have to actually have the phone on you. I
never take my phone with me when I run.

Make sure Use Phone GPS is turned on, on your watch. Not sure how to that on a Blaze, but on my watch go to run and page up to get to screen. Set to on.

Hi,

Basic question - do you need to carry your phone with you on a Run to enable the gps tracking to work?

Thanks!

If you have a Blaze, yes.  If you have an Ionic, no.  Blaze does not have GPS in the watch, whereas Ionic does.

Thanks for response. Issue was my wifi. Previously I would turn off but this week I have started leaving on which resulted in maps not showing up after workout.

Thanks this fix the same issue on my Versa 2 with an Android phone:
"Make sure the app can track GPS when your device is locked. To do so, tap Settings > General > Background App Refresh and make sure it's on for both the phone and Fitbit specifically."
