Read other posts that this problem has occurred before: Fitbit app won't track location unless phone is unlocked and in the foreground.
Confirmed my phone GPS is working fine via Google maps.
Fitbit app is latest version, 3.29. Phone is running iOS 13.6.1.
Worked fine with prior version of app and/or iOS.

I’m having the same problem. Both my Versa 2 and Charge 2 drop the GPS connection once I lock my phone.
My last good GPS connected route was Friday 09/11. The last two days I haven’t had any luck. iOS and the Fitbit app are up to date.

Thanks, @LiliyaFitbit. After a force stop of the app and phone reboot, location tracking seems to be working properly again. I got a good route for a bike ride this past weekend, and for a walk just now.
