This just started this morning.
Every time I move away from the app to do something else on my phone, this notification appears. I clear it by pushing “no thanks”, fo to a different app, and when I come back to Fitbit, here it is again.
Please, not another unclearable, useless notification!

It looks like you have set the tracker up to record one of your exercises by using your phones GPS, but to do this the Fitbit app needs permission to see the phones location.
The app is simply asking to he given permission to you phones location.
Of course it is clear able, you can do one of two things
- Open settings and grant permission, since you state that it just started, apparently some recent update revoked the previously allowed permission.
- Go into the different exercises and turn off the GPS tracking
Hitting no will not grant permission and you will continue to get the pop up.

Apparently, I managed to start exercise tracking from the Fitbit while getting ready this morning. The unit itself gave no notifications, just the pop up in the app.
So so now we know.
Thank you for your reply, as I was utterly baffled and frustrated.

Best AnswerChatting online with support, ran me through settings/privacy ...reset notification and restart phone etc...nothing works to get rid of this notification. Seems an easy fix from a tech person that if a person presses NO THANKS a certain number of times it would go away (like 3 x ) it is ANNOYING AS HECK TO HAVE IT POP UP EVERY FREAKIN TIME!!!!! Make it stop!
This does not work for me on my iPhone...when you say open settings, is it settings on phone or settings in fitbit app....where is this ‘grant permission’ ...where do I see different exercises to turn off GPS and IF that is done, what else is it turning off or not allowing me to do/see?
Best AnswerHi @TKfitness depending on what tracker you have will depend on where the setting to turn off the GPS recording of an exercise will be found. You may want to read your user manual to find out where to change this setting, or the online help guide.
Best AnswerHi @TKfitness , here's the only thing that worked for me and I've tried everything: deleting the Ftibit app then upload it again. Hope this helps.
Best AnswerGPS tracking is off in all exercises and still this pop-up comes up. Do you have any other suggestion to get rid of this pop-up (without giving you my location data that you don’t need)?
