I've just had a frustrating exchange with Fitbit support on Twitter trying to get them to acknowledge that Goal Days operate differently to other challenges with regard to time zones.
Weekend Warrior, Daily Showdown & Workweek Hustle all start and end according to the originator's time zone even if the challengers are elsewhere in the world. No problem.
However, in a Goal Day challenge if I start at midnight my time (I'm in the UK), a challenger in New York on EST won't start their goal day until five hours later when it is midnight their time. They'll also finish their goal day five hours after me. It is not simultaneous.
The Fitbit website is incorrect in claiming that ALL challenges start and end in the originator's time zone as Goal Day is clearly the exception to the rule. It's about time that Fitbit corrected this mistake on their website and advised their support staff accordingly.
p.s. I don't want Goal Day to be brought in line with the other challenges. I like it how it is.
