Health Metrics Trends

What happened to the 90 day trends?  It was useful to see how the metrics were tracking side by side for 30/90 days. The new day/month /year is a serious downgrade, not to mention the data is different. Why is Google continuing to devalue this app?  As a premium user for 10+ years it’s disappointing to lose the functionality that I’ve relied on to track performance.

Hi, @mhouse it seems that Google has chosen go for just week, month or year.  The usual explanations for these changes/ updates is data on what seems to be most helpful for most users, but it seems like in this case it does not exactly fit your needs.

In this case the best way to make your voice heard is by posting in the Product Feedback Forum.  There you can post ideas for improving Fitbit, and because others can vote for, and comment on, your Feedback, the folks at Google can get a better idea of what Fitbit customers want.

You can also post in other forums to link to your suggestion in the feedback forum.

I am sorry not to have a better suggestion for you.

100% agree mhouse.  They took away the ability to quickly notice changes in trends. I can't imagine one days data means anything to anyone. To get to longer term data now it takes several click throughs. They are making the app less efficient.

The whole point of the Health Metrics (at least for me) was to understand the interactions between the metrics and how they trended over time.  Seeing a one day comparison isn't very helpful.  IMO, the month to date trend is useless until at least half way through the month, they're just trying to make all of the tiles' data look the same: cardio load has the same trending format and I wouldn't be surprised if they all do over the next few updates..  The personal range for each metric seems to change daily so it's unclear what the target range is.  There really should be a 30 (min)/60/90 day rolling trend - for all trended data.  Then you can look at individual weeks/months or monthly averages for the year view.

To answer the "best response" email.  None of the above.  Making a Product Feedback suggestion to bring back a feature, while certainly appropriate, is pointless.  They can't even get the existing features to work correctly (i.e. pace calculations).

I agree! Do not like this change as I liked the easy to see 90 day chart. This change is not user friendly.

I also valued the side-by-side metrics. This is the final turning point to me: google has been devaluating this app for the past years to the point that it is no longer informative enough. Ive been using Garmin as well for over a year now. This side-by-side display was the only reason for me to wear my Fitbit.

Time to say good bye for good.

lol, how is this what is "most helpful for most users???"  This is just a terrible idea from some product manager to get more clicks to show "increased engagement."
