Heart rate differences on the Fitbit app

Fitbit app gives different values when comparing HR in exercise view verses heart rate view. One gives a high of 83 and the other shows 101 during a walk. Why?

It's simply due to the time frame being shown in both views. The heart rate view has to show a full 24 hours worth of data so it cannot possibly show your heart rate readings in detail.

I'm not sure what they are but the heart rate view will choose set intervals to use to show for the heart rate view - possibly every 10 minutes. So, if your heart rate of 101 during your wal occured at 8 minutes (for example), this is why it is not shown in the heart rate view.

As periods of exercise are (almost always) going to be shorter time periods their heart rate graphs can choose much smaller intervals.
