6 weeks ago, the app crashed, and I had to log back in again. When I did, it had lost 6 months of data and all friend connections. It now won't let me connect with any friends even though I've sent friend requests again these don't show up on their apps.

Hello @Cakemac, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
This seems like a very odd situation, have you updated the Fitbit app to the latest version (2.41)? If so, please check if your friends and the rest of your data is still showing in the online Dashboard. If they are, please try the following in the app:
- Force-close the app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swiping up the app. If this doesn't seem to work after a few tries:
- Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.
