Hello @Kschulte15

You need to contact Fitbit Customer Service and ask them to physically delete the old account. You may have to wait 48 hours after to create a new one. Once the time period ends you should be able to start your account using the email of your choice. https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support?language=en_US

With that said you don’t have to say goodbye to your weekly reports either. Once you change your address your weekly report pertaining to you will also be sent to the new email address as well. Look her to make sure you have that set up correctly as well: open your Fitbit App, tap profile picture then scroll down and tap Notifications. Now scroll down to email notifications and make sure Weekly Summary is enabled. just make sure you sync your Fitbit once you make the changes so your change will be accepted.

Hello @Kschulte15 and welcome to the Community.  The information given by @SunsetRunner isn't correct.  You don't contact Support to delete an account.  Please read and follow the instructions in this Help article: How do I delete my Fitbit account?   You will need to log in to that old account in order to delete it.  There is a grace period (for users who might change their mind).  It can take up to 90 days before your account is completely erased, although it is more like 30 days.  Then you can change your current account to that email address.

I disagree @LZeeW  You can contact Fitbit Customer Service if you choose @Kschulte15  especially if you get a prompt saying something like “cannot connect your Fitbit device as it says "email already in use” and you can’t recall the password information etc. Choosing to call Fitbit Customer is certainly a option. 😉
