Does anyone know how I get the old dashboard back on my iOS app? I don’t have automatic updates turned on so I don’t know how this has happened? The new dashboard is not user friendly and set out very poorly

This is all in preparation for Fitbit’s new premium service, which they have announced. The now see their users as a potential revenue stream to make up for declining hardware sales. There was no need to screw with our user experience in order to accomplish that.

And there you have it. Screw over the current users who loved a classy little product. You're right. They didn't have to change the layout to do that.

Simply outrageous! If this is how Fitbit wants to screw more money out of me then I’ll be switching the whole family to Applewatch.

Come on FitBit re-enable our excellent dashboard rather than this poor quality substitute.

So, I've solved the problem. I realized yesterday that I was way too emotionally involved and obsessing over a little device that fed me fun information that I didn't do anything with anyway, so I just deleted all the apps from the dashboard and didn't look at it once. I only made the 10,000 steps goal a couple of times on a trip to Europe last year, so that was meaningless. I know I didn't sleep well from the way I feel when I get up in the morning, so don't need the sleep stages chart. I still walk to the mailbox and park far from the door when shopping, so probably still getting about the same steps. So I released the emotional attachment, and now I have a neat little watch. I guess it's still collecting data, until I tell it to "Forget this device," but I don't check in 50 or 100 times a day to see my "stats." Freedom!

Agree with you! I don’t use the app all the time anyway. Don’t wear it to
bed because, like you , I don’t need it to tell me I don’t sleep well
anymore at my age and wearing it at night bugs...😎😂

How do I revert back to the old dashboard setting.  I’ve followed the instructions and in the advanced setting there no longer is the return to original settings options.  Has this been removed so that we are stuck with this horrible new update.  Thanks

Best Answer
Yep. Figured that out as well.....thanks a lot fitbit, not. I have left a
review an the App in the App Store as well.

I DO NOT like this new dashboard! It often won't sync because it "can't find my device." I've had to reinstall several times, but the problem continues. I may be done with Fitbit if this doesn't get resolved soon.

Best Answer

I agree the new dashboard is horrible. At first I was terribly disappointed with the sleep log just a bunch of lines that don’t make sense. I am just overall disappointed with the entire new look. Taking my Fitbit off looking for an alternative

Your team did an awful job of that is what they came up with. Our dollars talk and we can easily move on to something else. If your hear the community #do better Fitbit

Hello again,

Check out https://seekingalpha.com/article/4289055-fitbit-singapore-deal-changes-everything

Or any other "Fitbit Singapore deal" article. They are not going back and don't care about a few hundred people not liking it. They are on a bigger, longer track. So maybe throw the device in a drawer, buy the stock instead, and get an Apple watch to wear. So sad for many users. 😪

That’s disappointing, a few hundred! No point in buying the stock when a few million users throw it in the drawer, the stock will tank

From the article:

"Today, Fitbit's strategy is for its products to be a means to an end, meaning to get people in services. The company has reiterated this for some time now, but it is only now coming to fruition."

Here's a great strategy: break your existing services, ignore and infuriate your users, and use that as a springboard to suddenly make everyone pay money for a software product that you've shown incompetence to manage the development of. Brilliant!

New dashboard is terrible. It’s looks awful, is more difficult to read, and presents less information than the old one.

Please fix this mess or allow us to change the skin we use.
