A recent update to the iOS app added a little red number in the bottom right over the notifications. It's giving me annoying notifications for step goals. How do I stop all notifications? I know how many steps I've taken, I'm looking at the dashboard, I know when I'm close to my goal. I want to completely turn off notifications for the fitbit app. Is it possible?

@kbill1984 That's something that you should be able to modify in your iOS settings.
If you: open your iOS settings > tap notifications > scroll down and tap Fitbit > and toggle "Badge App Icon" off, you shouldn't see the red number at the bottom of the app.
Keep me posted if you have any additional questions.

In my iOS settings I don't allow notifications at all from the Fitbit app, so they're not proper system notifications. But like the user above I am still getting a red dot over notifications inside the app about how close I am to my step count goal. I'd really appreciate a way to stop that, I can clearly see whether I've hit my goal by looking at the dashboard.

@handsofblue Currently there is not a way to turn off notifications inside the app. (Or delete them). They will be deleted after a certain timeframe - I ~believe~ 30 days or something like that.

I agree that this particular new feature is annoying. I only want to see badges for messages from friends, not canned fitbit messages ("Almost to your... goal") over and over. Please update the app so that fitbit notification badges can be turned off.
I do like some of the other new features like cardio fitness and sleep cycles. Haven't yet tried the new Community features.

I already have notifications off in my iOS system settings. The only toggle available is to allow notifications. I think I may have fixed the problem by logging into my account on the desktop site, going to notifications, and unchecking everything. I didn't see the notification in app today. I don't understand why those settings aren't accessible in app.

Hi, thanks for that info! I can't believe I cannot delete this useless chatter from my phone. These do take up space. I hope this will be addressed in the next update.
Otherwise, I am very happy with my trackers.

I don't see what you are.
Which check box turns that off? None of the labels look like what I want to turn off.
Thanks!
