How do you change the amount of calories burned when the fit bit tracks

Whenever I work out on the elliptical my Fitbit automatically puts in an amount of calories however the elliptical says much different how do I change it on the exercise that's already tracked through Fitbit I always have to just delete it and then put in my own but then it doesn't track the steps

Hi @Judedavid, welcome to the Community! Cat LOL Let me explain you. You can't compare the calories burn calculated by your Alta with the calories burned showed on the elliptical because both are different equipments and use different algorithms to calculate your calories; remember also that the Fitbit gives you an estimated of calories burned based on your exercise, activities and also on your personal information as your height, weight and gender. In other words, your BMR, so I know you would like to change the data tracked, as the calories, but I'm afraid that it can't be done.
