I have been unable to find how to delete or edit custom foods. How can I do this? If this is not possible, why not?

As another poster said...put your finger on item and slide it to the left. You will have the option to edit or delete the item. It took me a couple times to hold it correctly and slid it so it showed up. Make sure your finger is warm and don’t ease up on the pressure. You may know this, but I didn’t.
Hope that helps.

Hold and swipe left allows us to edit or delete custom foods. But this does not work for custom meals. How can I edit a custom meal on the app?

I finally got this to work and I thought I’d mention this in case others have tried to edit the way I was initially doing it, and found it did not work.
If you search for a custom food first (I have several homemade soups and wanted to edit one), you cannot swipe left from the smaller list. You need to access the entry from the entire list for the swipe to work.

My phone did not have an edit option, but thanks so much, I could delete a custom food by swiping left on the food in the list.

Regarding editing a custom food... On the desktop app look on the right side of the "Track my Food on Fitbit" page. There's a panel called Favorites, at the bottom of which are two hyperlinks "Create a New Food" and "Edit My Foods". If you don't see it, perhaps you need to convert the foods you wish to delete or edit into 'favorites' first?

The solution is not working or out of date there is no edit button on my iPhone 8 Fitbit app

No there isn’t. You have to swipe left on a particular custom food to see Edit/Delete. But you cannot do this if you have searched for the custom food. E.g. I have several types of bread in my list. If I search “bread” and the four of them come up and I try to swipe left nothing happens. However I f I scroll through the entire list of custom foods down to the breads and then swipe left, it works.

I have the edit or delete tab, but the custom food choice will not let me save the calorie count. I can log all the other nutritional value but it does not save the calories in the initial save or in the edit option. I have restarted my phone, and deleted the app and downloaded again twice! I have tried this probably 10 times this week. I cant even just save only calories, it reverts back to zero every single time. Is there some kind of fix for this issue?

I'm having the exact same issue, calories won't save when I create a custom food. Worked fine forever. Is there a maximum number of entries? So frustrating.

It should look like this in the app.(iOS) so when you choose a custom food, before you log it you can choose the quantity. I have banana as 1 oz.

This is a new bug because I added lots of custom foods recently with no issues. Good news is I found a work around...add the total calories to the calories from fat field then save. It moves the fat calories to regular calories.

Hi - are you able to add customised food with decimal points. It used to allow me to do it but not anymore??... e.g. Saturated fat - 9.2 etc..it only seems to allow whole numbers now?

I just tried to edit custom entry and it didn't let me. I dont even have the option. Also, if I scan the bar code, the Nutritional Facts are not the same, so I also tried logging this entry out and it does not allow me. Latest IOS here.
