I have been unable to find how to delete or edit custom foods. How can I do this? If this is not possible, why not?

Thanks for your participation in the forums, you can definitely delete Custom Foods in the Fitbit app. In order to achieve this please follow the following steps:

  • Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Food tile
  • Select CUSTOM
  • Tap on the EDIT button on the top left corner.

  • You will notice to the side of each custom food the icon changed to a little pencil. Tap on the Custom Food you'd like to delete.
  • Tap on Delete Custom Food and confirm it when asked. Please note that you can also Edit the Custom Food here too.

Do you have an ETA for this fix?  If it has been implemented, how can it be done?  If not, when?  Thanks.

Just found it at https://www.fitbit.com/foods/log.  Under Favorites, click Edit My Foods.

The problem here is that I use the Windows app and it works very differently than fitibit.com.  It certainly doesn't have all the fitbit.com functions, case in point.

I also do not see an edit button for custom food.  When will this be fixed?

Best Answer

I thought I would let you all know I just happened to put my finger on the custom food item I wanted to edit and slid my finger to the left.  It gave me the option to edit/delete that food line item.  from there you can edit the custom item fields you need to edit or delete the custom food item all together

Great! That feature changed with the newer OS. Thanks!

THANK YOU!! geez, this has been driving me crazy. They removed the "edit" button from the top left corner. Why? Who knows. But the hold and swipe left thing works. Don't know why the changed it to a hidden feature, but grateful you have decoded it for us!

There is no ‘EDIT’ on the left upper corner of my screen. I have a Fitbit 3. I’ve tried both my iPhone and iPad. It’s just not there.

On your smartphone, lightly touch & hold the item. A swipe will show up to the right of the item. Drag left, the options will appear.
Best Answer
In custom foods, swipe left from the right side of the food entry.
Edit and delete will show.

Example: apple. slide left from right side of the rectangle.
Notice that the food entry disappears,
