How to delete in-app Notifications.

i just started using a FitBit again and I have notifications in the app that are more than a 1 and 1/2 years old.

The Notification icon has a red circle on it that will not go away.

I cannot do anything to these Notifications, Swiping any directions does nothing.

I read older posts from 2017 about this same problem.  was this ever fixed?

anyone know how to remove these old Notification from within the app?

I’m having almost the same problem, except I’ve been a regular user for over a year and this problem just started this week. When I open the app, there’s a little red dot at “notifications” and when I tap on it, the red dot is on “messages.”   I only have 2 and they are more than a month old.  The offending red dot disappears until I open the app again.

This problem seemed to begin when I received a friend request from someone I didn’t know. I declined the request and the red dot has been an unyielding presence ever since.

Ways I’ve attempted to remedy based upon earlier forums where this seemed to be addressed:

Sign out/sign back in

Restart phone

Uninstall/reinstall app

Logged into Fitbit profile in web browser and checked notifications there - cleared one notification which was a new badge, not a message

Disabled notifications for new messages from friends

So far nothing has worked. It drives me insane to have a notification I can’t clear. Please help!
