I bought the Charge 4 for a friend that has an iPhone 6 with highest IOS version of 12.5.4. According to the Fitbit app, you must have IOS version 13 or higher. Is there anyway to work around this requirement?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello @badbags42 and welcome to the Help forum. To the best of my knowledge, Apple only offers the current version to users trying to download it for the first time. Also, please advise you friend that Apple stopped supporting the iPhone 6, meaning there won't be any security updates.

Hello @badbags42. Welcome to the community forums! @LZeeW Thank you for your great input and it's nice to see you around!
@badbags42 Thank you for the detailed information. Adding to the post above, I'd like to let you know that since your friend's phone is using an OS which is below our minimum OS requirements, it is not possible to install the Fitbit App until there is an update to the OS; nevertheless, it is possible that your friend's iPhone 6 won't receive new updates.
On a side note, if you would like to review our list that contains information about the requirements that mobile devices need to work with the Fitbit App, please go to: https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/compatible-devices

Hi, I also failed to install the app in my iPhone6 (ios 12.5) because the appstore does not provide the older version. But after installing the Fitbit app on my iPad (with a new version of iOS) the app store on the iPhone gave me an older version of the app to install.

I've moved this phone related iOS question to the iOS board.
