The calories show on the dashboard sum-up the overall calories burned in a day which include "acitivites' and normal calories burned by your body to work.

Unfortunately you can't show the activity calories separately from your BMR calories. You can manually work out your activity calories but it's a bit of a pain. As you burn your BMR calories at the same rate day and night you can look at your calorie burn rate when you were asleep and these will be just your BMR calories. Subtract these from the total after and activity to get just the activity calories.

As I say, it's a bit of a pain. Out of curiosity, why are you wanting to do this?

It is still interested to understand how much calories you consume during exercise time. Inside an iOS app or android it's not difficult. You either just sum-up the calories burned during moderate, intense activities and sleep.

You have a graph showing this when checking the calories per day. The graph show a window of 15mins.

The problem is solved by just adding 3 more display:

Calories burned during intense activities, moderate and low.

You can make an official request for this feature Here. This way others can vote for it and maybe Fitbit will consider it.
