My fit bit won't sync with my ihealth app.

If you are all-in apple then wouldn't an apple watch have been a better choice?

UPDATE:

Thinking about this debate, my view is that fitbit and apple are rivals in this space and I don't see any reason why either would want to integrate with the other.

Sure, it would be great for us if they synced (both ways) but what's in it for them?

I agree with Steve Fitbit is that one place the only apple product that counts steps is Apple Watch (not including the phone itself) and if you had the Fitbit and Apple Watch on at the same time it would look stupid

UPDATE:

And there is an IFTTT Applet that does it.

This information is not helpful nor sensible. To continue to say this is being looked at is insulting. That it’s being looked at is what has been said for years.
I appreciate honesty not bs to placate individuals

My understanding is there is an Apple API kit for fitness tracker manufacturers to use to interface to Apple Health.

It's more likely that Fitbit wants to "control" the use of their tracker data rather than let someone else do it. Don't forget their announced partnership with Google and their health initiative. . .

This thread is a reminder to rate the Fitbit app 1-star again on the iOS App Store. Fitbit clearly cares nothing for its customers, because people have been asking for this for years. Honestly, the mods responses are obnoxious. They act like just a few people want this feature, but way more have voted for this. Mods have also cautioned against using 3rd party sync services. Newsflash! Allow sync with the native Fitbit app and then you don’t have to caution users about 3rd party apps.
