Can Fitbit turn off the Location Access pop-up once a user clicks “No Thanks”? For good?
No means No.
Why do I need to click No Thanks each time I start the app?
I approached customer service and was advised to turn it on while using the app. But I do not want this. I do not want to share my location. If a “No Thanks” option is available for me to choose that would imply it is possible for the app to function without Location Access.

Hi there @Febrita.
Thanks for the details shared on your post and for the screenshots provided. I understand how frustrating this can be.
Please note that the location services are required just when tracking GPS data or when using some features, such as Weather. If you're not going to use those features, you can leave the location services off. If you just click on No thanks, probably you will continue getting the pop-up message since you need to select the option from your phone settings, so please do the following:
Hope this helps.

Dear Cindy,
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, Location Services has always been turned off from the get go.
I’m using iPhone 11 Pro and this has always been my Fitbit app setting:
cheers,
Febrita.

I have been having this same issue since the latest update to 3.45. Like you, I have never enabled location services and have all my settings on Never and yet I continue to get notifications to enable the location services every…single….time I wake the FB app. Customer Service says this is now required and there is no way to disable this “feature”, which I believe is a bug they are unwilling to fix. It’s beyond annoying and very disappointing.

This is the most frustrating pop up and experience. I've worn a number of fitbits over the past 5+ years. I recently starting wearing a Luxe and the constant pop up message re location access is incredibly frustrating and unnecessary, so much for consumer choice. I will likely be returning this model and go back to my old model.
