Right,  The average hours of sleep displayed front and center was very useful.  An arbitrary sleep score is not.

Agree...average hours of sleep means much more to me than a sleep score! Please bring it back 🙏

Yes, graphs are pretty,  but it still doesnt give you averages for the week.  And that's what I used Fitbit for at night.  Sleep score is useless.

Swiping right to left used to work but now it doesn’t. Still just shows average sleep score. What happened?!?

Hello,

Unfortunately your answer doesn't help.

People (me included) want to have the information of average sleep time like it was before.

Fitbit could have add the feature score without deleting the average time.

Personally the score formula doesn't work well and is for the time.being useless.

Wait mine hasn’t done this 😞

The word “hate” is something I rarely use, but I HATE the sleep score. I still don’t know how it’s derived, but not only is it a psychological negative, but it’s irrational. Last night for example, I logged 7 hours and 39 min of sleep, which is fantastic for me. Relative to the “benchmark”, my awake time was low, light moderately high, REM high and deep moderately low. I was awarded a “poor” sleep score of 58. A few nights ago I logged 4 hours, separate issue but don’t believe accurate and my sleep score was 55!

PLEASE PLEASE PLeASE let us turn this worthless score off...!!!!

And yes, I can dig for the hours now thanks to others on this blog, but the score makes no sense and makes me feel bad when I’d otherwise feel good based on MY goals and sleep experience, which vary as much as we do as individuals.

I️ think I️ know why the sleep score behaves the way it does. An important
factor in the algorithm is the difference between your "resting heart rate"
during the day and your heart rate while you sleep. The only times I️ have
scored an Excellent (regardless of how well or long I've slept) is when my
resting heart rate the day before was usually high. This drives me nuts
because I️ have a low resting heart rate to begin with (yes, I️ work out
but more importantly I️ take medication that lowers the heart rate), so it
is rare that there is a significant difference between the two. This seems
to me to be a flaw in the algorithm.

Interesting. I work out hard daily and have a low resting heart rate. I’ll have to watch. I’m sure I’ve never received a score in the excellent range, despite feeling pleased with my sleep several evenings.. the score is such a downer. Despite not placing much credibility in it, it’s a “feel bad”.... I’m definitely searching for an alternative to Fitbit as a result.

I agree with everything you said!

Thank you for this information.  I would have never found it otherwise.

Yep, exactly right. Whoever selected ‘best answer’ above clearly works for Fitbit and is out of touch.
Maybe Apple will train them to listen to their customers.

I have the Fitbit app on a Samsung A20 and all I have to do is swipe the default sleep score graph to the left and it shows the hours slept graph instead. Easy Peasy - Japanesey.... The app on my windows laptop shows hours slept as the default.

Agreed.  I never thought I had any sleep issues and really don’t need to be reminded that my sleep score is ‘fair’ every night.  I would rather see how much sleep I am getting - that’s something over which I might have some control.

Thanks for answering, but I think what the op (and many more of us) was looking for was a way to see the weekly average sleep time... Not in the graphs section, but below, where each night's sleep is detailed with a summary/average bar for each week. Just wanted to clarify in case you or anyone else can address that!

I️ have searched but to no avail. I'd really like to have that back, as
well.

That solution/workaround does not work for Android.
