I'm constantly being asked to log into Fitbit app

Why do I constantly have to sign in to my Fitbit app. It is annoying and unnecessary to have to do so every 3-5 days. Any recommendations would be appreciated

Hi @lynne8  - it would seem either the phone or you is closing the Fitbit App on your phone.

 

Check the phone is not closing it to save battery if you haven't logged out or closed it.

Hello @lynne8 and welcome to the Community.  Closing the Fitbit app won't log you out of apps on the iPhone.  The Low Power mode limits features, but doesn't log you out of apps.  As another example, my husband can't bring a phone into the building where he works.  He quits every app and turns off his phone every workday and doesn't have this problem.

I looked at your profile and can see that you are a long time user.

  • Is this a new problem or has it been going on for some time?
  • What model iPhone do you use?
  • What iOS version do you have?
  • What version of the Fitbit app do you have?  Tap on your profile picture, then scroll down to Help & Support

I searched the forum and this was a problem with one particular (much older) app version.  If it is a new problem, a good first step is to delete the Fitbit app, restart your phone, then re-download the app.  A moderator might be able to help you with more information.  Feel free to contact Support for more help.
