Loved the app, however latest version includes adverts throughout for fitstar. Spotting the *guidance* tab at the foot I thought - great - Fitbit now includes this, installing the app only to find that these are premium subscription features.
I've no intention on subscribing to so why do we have to have this feature forced in our face. The app should have an option to remove this if your not interested. Almost posted a bad review but thought I'd post the point here to give you guys the chance to remedy the situation first.
whats most frustrating is that the feature looks like it's part of the core product. Ultimately I baught a Fitbit to track my fitness - not to open another advertising channel to my phone - not a good update and would go back to the old version if given the chance.

I came here to ask how to remove the adverts from the fitbit app... seems I'm not the only one who finds this extremely annoying.
I still have 20 days to return my Charge 2 as I bought it through Amazon. If this doesn't get fixed until then I'll go for a different / ad-free fitness tracker.
All the exercises shown on the new "Guidance" tab seem to be tailored towards healthy people. I can't do any of those things with the medical conditions I have.

My beef is that they shouldnt be there unless you opt in - they are mis-represented as guidance when actually its a route to purchase more content. We do not need to be guided to purchase, Fitbit should know you cant lead a horse to water!
My fitbit I was about to update as the strap is broken - actually thinking of getting somehtign else now as this could be a bad sign that they are going to want to monitise the apps more and since the trakers are expensive enough you'd think theyd want to maintain the brand loyalty first not look for ways to switch to an add-ware model.

Now I also get full-screen popup ads for fitstar every day! How do I turn this off?
Since I'm handicapped I find these adverts extremely offensive!

Hello @Aernative and @Xykon. it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback about the Guidance tab, I really appreciate it and I'm sure our development tea appreciates it as well. Currently it's not possible to disable it but I went ahead and found a suggested idea by @cdkennedy to turn off or disable this tab on the menu. I would like to encourage you to vote and comment on this idea, this is truly the best way to make your voice heard.
@Xykon, I understand your situation and the Fitstar ads should only appear once after the update, if you're still getting them, please forceclose the app by double-tapping the home button and swiping up the app. This should refresh the information so you don't have to see the ad again.
I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please let me know!
I hope this can be
