Hi,
I am unable to control my music through my Fitbit Surg.
The Surg is able to notify me of phone calls and text messages but I can no lie negra control my music. Anyone else experiencing this?

Anytime sweetie @monicarSmiley Very Happy Answering your question, yes your Fitbit Surge is compatible with iPhone 7, therefore it should work with music control.

Please do the following:

1. Reboot your iOS device that you are setting it up on.
2. Click settings on your Surge's screen > scroll until you see "Bluetooth Classic" > and select "pair".
3. On your iOS device: open your Settings and then click on Bluetooth.

Just keep in mind that music control requires its own separate Bluetooth bond.  If you have call/text notifications setup on your Surge, you should see a bond between your "Surge" and iPhone in your iPhone's Bluetooth settings; but in order to setup music control, there has to be a Bluetooth bond between your iPhone and "Surge (classic)".

4. Put your Surge right next to your iPhone (make sure that it is still set to pair in Bluetooth Classic mode mentioned in step 2) and let your iPhone's Bluetooth search for "Surge (Classic)"

5. Once Surge (Classic) appears on your iOS's Bluetooth settings click on it.
6. A pop up should appear on your iOS device asking if you want to pair to Surge (Classic) be sure to click the Pair button on the pop up.
7. Immediately after, there should a number sequence on your Surge's display asking if you want to pair, be sure to click the button associated with the check mark and you should be set.

To set up music control:

  1. On your Surge:
    1. Display the Menu, then swipe to Settings.
    2. Scroll to Bluetooth Classic.
    3. If the setting is Off or On, press the Select button until the setting is Pair.
  2. On your mobile device:
    1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth.
    2. Make sure your device is discoverable and is scanning for devices.
    3. When “Surge (Classic)” appears as an available device, select it.
    4. Wait for a message showing a six-digit number.
  3. Perform the following two steps in close succession:
    1. When the same six-digit number appears on your Surge, press the Action button (lower right) to confirm the pairing.
    2. On your mobile device, select Pair.

Thank you for your response.

I could control my 5s (iPhone) through my Fitbit Surge but my question is more about whether my Surge is compatible with the iPhone 7. I have done all the steps to set up my Surge but it still won't allow me to control my music.
It's so frustrating.

Thanks again for your time.
I really appreciate your response.

Excellent. I will try that.
The surge is paired under just 'Surge' - I will try and find the 'classic'

Thanks again~
