@2bbornot2bb Welcome to the Fitbit Community!
To get started, please pair your Charge HR to your Fitbit account. Also make sure to enable the Bluetooth settings on your iOS device in order to setup and sync your tracker beforehand.
If you want to background sync your tracker's data to your Fitbit account, the All-Day Sync feature is a great option! I enjoy this feature but this is a personal preference depending on how often you want your data to sync.
Let me know if you need any additional help! ![]()

The dongle is the Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy interface for the computer. A lot of Win10 computers that have Bluetooth built may not need the dongle.
This dongle will not help in connecting to any other device.
@2bbornot2bb just like with the Flex, the all day sync is up to you, it is your decision but may shorten battery life of the tracker.
For Bluetooth, as with the Flex, there's is no reason to turn it off.
