I used to have the flex, that was a **ahem**. So I went with the charge because a lot of co workers & friends have it and like it. Just got it yesterday (5/20). Am I supposed to check the box for 'all day sync'? And am I supposed to have my blue tooth on? Am I supposed to pair it with my iphone? Mine charge HR said I ran today, but didnt track my distance. So pissed! What am I doing wrong?

@2bbornot2bb Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

To get started, please pair your Charge HR to your Fitbit account. Also make sure to enable the Bluetooth settings on your iOS device in order to setup and sync your tracker beforehand.

If you want to background sync your tracker's data to your Fitbit account, the All-Day Sync feature is a great option! I enjoy this feature but this is a personal preference depending on how often you want your data to sync.

The dongle helps your primary computer connect and sync to your Fitbit tracker. When Fitbit wasn't syncing with one of my androids, I was told to move the dongle to that piece of equipment. In theory that triggers the connection. In my case, it didn't

The dongle is the Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy interface for the computer. A lot of Win10 computers that have Bluetooth built may not need the dongle.

This dongle will not help in connecting to any other device.

@2bbornot2bb just like with the Flex, the all day sync is up to you, it is your decision but may shorten battery life of the tracker.

For Bluetooth, as with the Flex, there's is no reason to turn it off.

First I plugged it in to my computer. No luck. I took the Fitbit app out and reinstalled it. No luck. I deleted my Fitbit and reinstalled as if it was new. Lost my info. After three weeks and multiple attempts at everything listed it started to sync again. This has been frustrating, but for some unknown reason it is working again.
