This is RIDICULOUS.
I don't even know where to post my questions because I have so many things that are non-functional!
Straight out of the box--
1. after a number of hours of effort, I finally got it to update the firmware to update by just constantly keeping both my phone and the fitbit awake.
2. the steps keep changing.
It was 29. Then it was 17. Now I'm at 26. This was over the course of 15 minutes, and I haven't left the couch. I was trying to get the face to update, so I haven't gone anywhere.
3. Puzzling over the weird step count, I decided to see what it sends my phone. It wasn't auto syncing (though that's the setting). So I tried manually syncing & refreshing. It's been doing that for 20 minutes and counting. Still nothing.
Yes, I've tried forgetting the device in my bluetooth settings.
4. I tried to update the face/clock display. I gave up after it did the red back and forth loading thing for a half hour.
I have spent a large portion of my day on this thing and it's still not working. After 3, reliable years with my Charge 2, I am *thoroughly* disappointed in FitBit on this one!
