Can any one help? The past few days my ionic won’t sync with the app, it’s stopped having notifications etc.

I’ve done the factory reset, delete and re pairing of the device. It works for a few hours then stops again. Its loosing minutes and not counting all my steps. It’s only 7 months old but I’m really fed up of all the problems I’m having with it especially when you are in challengers and you can complete them!

First step in helping with a sync issue is knowing what device the sync issue is with , what type of device is being used to sync the Ionic?

A couple of points that help with all devices is to restart the Ionic and the device used to sync .

Deleting the device from your ur Fitbit account or doing a factory reset of thevionic usually will add problems.

On a phone, removing the tracker from the phones Bluetooth is a good step and often then allows the app to sync .

Once the sync issue has been resolved @Tracyr79 we should be able to setup the tracker .

I’ve got iPhone 10. I’ve deleted everything and started again... which solves the problem but only for a few hours

Hello @AliGally, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you too @Tracyr79, I hope you're doing well. Thanks for all your help @Rich_Laue, I really appreciate it. Smiley Happy

@Tracyr79 and @AliGally, if you have already tried the troubleshooting steps @Rich_Laue kindly posted, my best recommendation would be enabling All-day Sync in the Fitbit app by going to Account > Ionic > All-day Sync, then sync your tracker. This will establish a Bluetooth connection between your Ionic and your phone making it easier to sync.

@AliGally, additionally, if you haven't tried yet, I would like to suggest you to set up your Ionic as a new device to reset the connection between the watch and your phone. Don't worry, none of the information stored in the account will be deleted.

To set up your Ionic as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
  5. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.

So what happens when you do EVERYTHING these forums say to do and even get a new phone and it still doesn’t work? I have over 150 pounds to lose and needed the watch to help keep me going but it’s more hassle than losing the weight is. I want my money back and I can’t find a single place to call to get help. I don’t have a lot of money and I worked a lot of overtime to get this. If it isn’t gonna work then I need to get something that will. Please give me number money back or send me something that works.

@TYakel for Fitbit contact info there are three places to look.

In the top right of this page click your picture, then click contact Fitbit.

Look at the bottom of this page, click on the Help link. Then scroll up and click get help

Through the Fitbit App

Tap settings, the blue square in the top right

Scroll up and tap help

Tap Contact Fitbit.

The link is fairly easy to remember

I suggest also reading your rights under Fitbits warranty, this link is also found below as Returns & Warranty

Depending on what country the Fitbit was bought from, the user may have additional rights.
