Ionic not receiving notifications

Hi, I have the Ionic with an iPhone SE. My watch doesn’t notify my messages, the weather app doesn’t sync, same for the new app agenda. What can I do?

Thanks for letting me know about your Ionic and the issues experienced with it. I'll help you out with each of your inquiries. First of all, let me informed you that our team is aware of the notifications issues affecting our members after updating to iOS 13 and they're currently working to bring a fix. In the meantime, I'd recommend to visit this thread and try the tips suggested there which have worked for others. We'll update that thread as soon as we have more details to share.

 

About the weather app since there are some factors that affect this feature, please make sure of the following:

 

  • Location services are set to "Always" for the Fitbit app within your phone's settings.
  • All-day sync must be turned on in the Fitbit app.
  • The Fitbit app must remain running in the background on your phone.

 

If those conditions are met, please try the following steps:

  1. Remove your Ionic from the Bluetooth settings in your phone.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  3. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile's icon > Ionic image > Sync now.
  4. Once your watch has synced, check the Weather app. It can take a few minutes to see the updated list of locations on your device.

 

Now, in regards to the Agenda app, do you mean that your calendars aren't syncing with it? Do you see an error message on the watch? If you've not done so, please try to remove the Agenda app from your watch and then add it back to monitor its behavior. You can refer to the steps described in this help article.

Thank you for your reply. I did as you suggested but unfortunately nothing changed, the weather app still asks “sync the Fitbit mobile app to update”. The agenda  asks to “set up calendars in the Fitbit mobile app to see agendas on your watch”.

Concerning notification, the only one I have is the incoming calls.

I appreciate your efforts while trying the steps posted above and let's continue working on this together. About the notifications, please keep an eye to the thread mentioned above as in there you'll not only find some tips to receive them, but future updates about this issue which was already reported to our team.

In regards to the Weather app let's try the following:

  1. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture > Ionic.
  2. Tap on Apps > My Apps > Weather.
  3. If there is an update for that app, please download it.
  4. Then tap on Permissions and make sure all the options are enabled.
  5. Then go back and tap on Sync Now under the Ionic's screen in the app.
  6. Once your watch has synced, wait 60 seconds and check the Weather app on your Ionic.

In addition, to set up the Agenda app and see upcoming calendar events, try this:

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture > Ionic > Apps.
  2. Tap the gear icon next to Agenda. You may need to swipe up to find the app. You’ll see all calendars linked to the default calendar app on your phone.
  3. Adjust the settings to choose which calendars to show on your watch, the color for events linked to each calendar, and whether you want to see blocks of free time.
  4. Then allow the Agenda app to access your calendar and run in the background.
  5. Sync your watch to see today’s and tomorrow’s events from your calendars in the Agenda app.
  6. Note that the Agenda app on your Ionic shows up to 40 total events over 2 days.
