Iphone 8plus and Alta

Bought a new phone and cannot sync my Alta. Just called customer service and was told “give us a couple days and call back, the highest team is working on it”.

Not feeling satisfied with this answer! Especially after seeing numerous posts about syncing issues.

Has anyone been able to think the Alta?  I have tried removing the fit bit and also removing the app and reinstalling with no success.

Do I need to purchase a new fit bit? Or do I need to go with a new brand altogether? I just ran my first race and was very frustrated I could not use my fit bit!

Please help!

Hello @ErikaMaz, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have let me know the troubleshooting steps you'd tried in order to try to resolve this issue. At this moment I would like to suggest you that if you still have your old phone around, please go to the Bluetooth settings and remove the tracker from the paired list by tapping on it and selecting "Forget this Device". Then, try to sync with your new phone.

If you do not have your old phone at hand, please restart your Alta, then open the Fitbit app and start the process to set up your tracker as a new device (this time, without removing it from the account first). Once you tap on Set up a New Device, choose Alta and you will be asked to replace your current tracker, replace it and continue with the process. A pop-up will appear asking you to "pair" your tracker to your phone, tap on "PAIR" and wait for the tracker to finish setting up.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.
