Iphone7 Charge2 options in July2024

Well...isn't this just fancy dancy. I just discovered an article stating that online dashboard is gone.

My birthday (yesterday) gift to myself is to get into shape...something better than apple shape. I'm overweight and just started my FitBit back up on Wednesday (the 10th), using my trusty Charge 2 (which is holding a charge very well I may add) and syncing it to my Iphone7 without a hitch. It has worked very well since Wednesday evening, until this morning (Sunday). My app keeps crashing upon signing in. So I started to look for my dongle. Then I found an article from Ftibit stating that online dashboard is being removed, sounds like the dongle will be useless. I'm attempting to lose weight without any initial financial investment, my fitbit is a cornerstone of my progress. If anyone can offer any info to help me, I would truly appreciate it!

Hello @AvantGarde and welcome to the Community.  The first troubleshooting step is to delete your app, then download a new copy.  I'm reading between the lines of your post.  Fitbit completely redesigned the app in Sept 2023.  If it has really been a long time, then I think you have an old Fitbit app version.  I just have a feeling that you would have commented on that, too.

I also want to point out that the iPhone 7 is no longer supported by Apple for mainstream updates.  It might or might not get security updates.

BTW, neither the web dashboard nor the dongle could have helped you.  Fitbit deactivated Fitbit Connect and the Windows 10 app in 2022.  The dongle doesn't work with a Charge 2.  I'm happy you still have good battery life.  I hope it gets you back on your chosen path.
