Is Fitbit still ignoring Apple Health syncing?

This is such a no brainer feature that so many competing and even cheaper devices have by default that I didn't even think to check for it before buying a Fitbit.  This absolutely sucks.  Is Fitbit still continuing their years old "screw what Apple users want" policy?

Are there any third party apps anyone can recommend that will sync the data?  If they work well I guess it's an acceptable workaround but if not seems like returning the Fitbit and getting a better device is the only option.

syncsolver seems to be a popular app.

Personally I'm not surprised that Apple and Fitbit do not directly link. They are rivals in this space so what's in it for either of them to allow users to use a rival's hardware or software.

It's our choice to use fitbit or apple.

Apple provides everything anybody needs to Sync with Health whether they are a third party app builder, hardware manufacturer or both should they so desire, which is why so many other third party fitness trackers (Oura, Garmin, the discontinued Jawbone, etc.) and other devices automatically sync with Health by default.  This is 100% Fitbit's stubbornness, nothing to do with Apple.

I found an app called myFitnessSync which seems to work despite an ugly UI.  I also found SyncSolver recommended elsewhere but their description did not specifically mention syncing heart rate data while myFitnessSync did in addition to having more and slightly better reviews so I decided to go with it. Curious what others have to say about these apps and any other alternatives.  I definitely want my data to reliably go into health where I have years of history otherwise this device is pretty useless to me, definitely don't want to be locked into the Fitbit app forever.

Come on man .... what kind of an answer is this? Apple watches can be synced with samsung health ... i regret buying this crap, spent 150$ on it ... maybe i should have just bought an apple watch ... anyway i’ll sell my firbit and go for the iwatch. Maybe after google finally buys fitbit maybe then remove their stupid internal policy ... such a awful customer experience ... unfit bit (see the french word )

It is more accurate to say that Apple is ignoring Fitbit. Apple will not allow Fitbit devices to sync with Apple Health. Please read @SteveH ‘s response.
