Is it possible for MobileTrack to count floors?

Hi there I have an iPhone 8 running IOS12,2. I really love the Mobile Track feature of the Fitbit App, it is available even on my old iPhone 5 S.

Is is it possible to transfer flights of Stairs from the iPhone to the Fitbit App? This is great for those occasions when I prefer to wear a more formal dress watch. Also my Versa and my wrist can both get some down time.

By the way Thanks for this, regrettably Mobile Track is ONLY available on a few android devices for eg Samsung S10.

So to Apple and Fitbit: Thanks

Moderator Edit: Clarified Subject.

The ability to transfer Flights of Stairs would be the icing on the cake.

Any ideas would help!!

Hello @Ronald1 I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around. It's great to see you too @LZeeW thanks for all your help. Smiley Happy

@Ronald1 as @LZeeW mentioned earlier, MobileTrack can only record basic information such as steps, distance and calories burned and currently it's not possible to manually add floors to exercises.

When it comes to the bands, many members have purchased and tried 3rd party bands for Versa, however, as we do not manufacture them, we can't provide insights about them or assure you they will work as advertised. If you have any doubts about them, you can check the Versa board, I'm sure you will be able to find more information about this.

Thanks for your understanding, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

@Ronald1   Mobile Track is just for the basics.  There have several Feature Suggestions asking for the ability to add floors manually, from stairclimber, etc.  The answer from Fitbit is Not Currently Planned.

You might want to check out some of the third party bands that are available on Amazon and Ebay.  I dressed up my Versa and wore it to a wedding.

Thanks LZeeW.

It is interesting that I DID not mention bands in this thread, yet you brought it up. The last time a community member did not react well to being told by a moderator that she was “digging up a three month old thread”. She was enquiring about magnetic bands making the Fitbit go crazy.

Tell me does the Third Party Band fit the frame of the Versa AS SNUGLY AS the original? Do you see a minor air space or gap? If you do see that, guess what is building up in there? Ensure that the area is properly cleaned or the pins will not fit in securely due to grime build up.

Oh by the way I am told that dust can contain static electricity. Thanks but after much experience with my Blaze I think that there is a reason Fitbit manufactures the bands the way they do.

Have a great day.

@Ronald1   I brought up bands because I know the limitations of Mobile Track and was offering a suggestion -- that a different band might be dressy enough.

I have not had a problem with third party bands and fit.  I mentioned third party bands on the assumption that you did not care for the leather or stainless links bands that are made for the Versa and sold in the Fitbit store.

My Versa and its bands DO get cleaned.  I only exercise in the classic band.  A lot of the grime is the dead skin cells we shed.

I hope that cranky moderator has moved on to a new line of work.

Thanks for the idea but Purchasing on line from South Africa ZAR cannot be Done currently. You are absolutely correct I do love the Stainless Steel Band. I will look at getting an American friend to buy and ship to me. NB the Blaze Leather Bands do fit the Versa.

Kindly accept my apology for sounding terse to say the least.  Did not want to crate tension.

Sadly the moderator is still around: I have interacted with various moderators VERY POSITIVELY I must add. They appear to follow a commendable CSR approach: Compliment, Support for the issue & Sympathy then work to Resolution. A great plan. Further most moderators leave out sarcasm, innuendo and such like- that is what I was trying to avoid. Thanks for understanding
