Keep getting random timed notifications

I see that a lot of people are having issues not getting notifications - I was just wondering if anyone else is getting random notifications?  I am awake again at 5.30am because of a reminder for something in my calendar at 8.30am - even though I have actually turned off any reminders for that calendar event weeks' ago.  (And even when I DID have a notification set for this event, it was only ever set for "at time of event" - it certainly wasn't for 3 hours earlier!)

I have an event on tonight and I will be sitting there with my eyes hanging out of my head, from being woken up so early today.

Sometimes I also get a reminder that keeps reminding me of something for a couple of hours - even long past whatever calendar event has been and gone.

This issue has been going on since probably October or November - I've now been having to try and remember to turn off all notifications before I go to bed, and turn them back on again in the morning.  Which is ridiculous, and I should not have to do this.

I'm getting very over my Fitbit.  I've loved it for about 4 years now... the honeymoon period is now over.

Hi @namza. Welcome to the forums! I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for sharing detailed information about the issues experienced with the notifications, as well for the steps tried prior posting. I totally understand where you're coming from about this whole situation and let me give you a hand with this matter.  Before anything else, may I know the model of your Fitbit device? Is the issue just with calendar notifications? In case you have an Ionic or Versa family smartwatches, have you had a similar behavior with the Agenda app? May I also know your iPhone's model and OS version?

I'd recommend to give one try to the following steps in the given order:

  1. Remove your Fitbit from the Bluetooth settings on your phone. If you sync it with a different phone/tablet, remove it from their Bluetooth settings as well.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby.
  3. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version.
  4. Force quit the Fitbit app from your iPhone.
  5. Reboot your phone and restart your Fitbit.
  6. Open the Fitbit app and set up the notifications one more time.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

Hello
Sorry I have not replied.
I followed the steps that you suggested, and it has unfortunately not helped.

Again last night, I got a message at midnight for something in my calendar on Sunday at 10am.  And another notification at 2.15am for something in my calendar on Monday at 9am.
I now have an iPhone 11, but when I originally posted I had an iPhone 6s - so it has happened on both phones.

I also have the Charge 2.

Yesterday, I played with the Settings and found something that said to turn off notifications between certain times.  I opted for no notifications between 8pm and 8am.  Clearly that did not work since I got disturbed in my sleep twice last night.

This has been going on now since October last year.  Please help!
