I updated to the latest iOS app last night (3.1, I have an iPhone 6s) and there are no longer any options in the location settings to give the app access to location data. This recently happened with the previous update right before this where the setting was turned off by default, it I was able to enable it after that. I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled the app, as per some previous threads, and restarted my phone to no avail. Syncing still works but I can’t getting any location data, which makes a bunch of the apps and watch faces useless.

Hi @J-versa, welcome to the Community Forums! It's great to see you here.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, as well for the troubleshooting steps that you've tried. You did an awesome job! May I know if you're using your Fitbit device to track GPS data? If so, what is the model of your Fitbit device? Do you see an error message on your device when looking for GPS signal? Do you start your activity prior finding GPS signal?
If you haven't done so, please try the following steps:
Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

I’m using a versa, and I use location both to monitor workouts and for the location which feeds the weather app and several others. It’s not gps signal really, just general location from the phone. I’ve gotten multiple notifications from the app telling me to turn on location settings, but as of the last update the app no longer appears in the location settings. There are no longer any options in the location settings to give the app access to location data. Please see the attached picture, which shows all of my apps from the letter E to G and notice that Fitbit is not there. Fitbit app missing from list

Hi @J-versa, welcome back. I'm glad to see you here.
Thanks for sharing more details, as well for the screenshot showing what apps are available for location services. This sound strange, and to work on this please try to force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone. Then go back to location services within your phone's settings, and check if the Fitbit app appears there. If you're getting the notification to turn on location services, please share a screenshot of that message in your reply. You can do so with the steps from this post.
I look forward to your reply.

I did as you described and still no change in the settings. The message I get once and a while (see screenshot) just bring me to the fitbit app, since it can’t go to settings as there is no location setting for the app now.

After restarting

For whatever obscure reason, on my commute home today the notification I included the last time was actually able to open the location settings and I was able to set the option to always. It only occurred when I had already been using another navigation app to get home, which was accessing my location at that time. I have no idea if that had any impact, but the issue seems to be resolved. Unfortunately I have no more indication than that about what might have led to the change but for now it seems to be working.
