I have just ‘upgraded’ from a charge 2 where I could have location services for the iOS app set to ‘while using’ but it would seem on my charge 3 it’s making me turn on location services to ‘always’ to track any kind of GPS activity.

is this correct? I don’t want to leave my location services always on

@Liamkirkham   I don't have a technical answer, but I have been getting the same popup.  I don't like the idea of having the Location Service to Always.  But I found that it must be on the Always setting or my Versa 2 never connects to my phone when I want to do a GPS exercise.

I ignore this pop up, have mine set to When Using the App, set it to Always when I need it, set it back when I don't and, gasp, quit the app from time to time to save battery.  I do not have issues with my Versa 2 with this arrangement.  I hope your Charge 3 runs smoothly if you choose to tap on No Thanks.  Just remember when you might need it.

Thank you LZeeW I appreciate the reply.

I refuse to accept that I now how to change my settings with a new fitness tracker, despite having the same app as I used with my charge 2.

I wonder if Fitbit themselves will reply before I return that **ahem** thing for being unfit for purpose???
