Logged walking doesn't count towards total steps?

I cannot take my Fitbit to work, I work in gov't scif with no wifi/Bluetooth devices allowed. I use a good old fashioned analog pedometer to count my steps then log the mileage in "track exercise" but these steps never count towards my weekly total so it looks like I'm barely walking. Can this be fixed??

@MattBroadrix Unfortunately manually logged workouts don't count towards your 7 day leaderboard and there isn't a way to manually add steps to your weekly total at this time.

I would recommend voting and commenting on this feature request for the ability to turn trackers' Bluetooth off. Top-voted feature requests get relayed to our product team for consideration.

Only steps tracked by the tracker do count.

Feel free to add your vote / comment to @pastorscory 's suggestion on the Feature Requests subforum:

The more votes increases the chance of the developers integrate the functionality.

Just turning off the Bluetooth is not an option. No devices with Bluetooth or wifi capabilities regardless if you can turn them on or off are allowed in the Scif. This is very strictly enforced. Not being allowed to manually log steps makes no sense.

This is likely done to make challenges fair..

Feel free to add a suggestion to the 'Feature Requests' Sub Forum to for example have a future fitbit tracker which can only sync through usb,.. or perhaps can also have a bluetooth external hardware attached to when needed to sync over bluetooth..

Push for your organization to modify its policies. A lot of people simply don't understand that there's a difference between WiFi and Bluetooth. This heralds back to the days where something electronic immediately equated to a security threat. My organization recently allowed personal trackers such as FitBit because it neither emits nor receives any sort of sensitive signal. There's no microphone, no GPS, nothing.

@MattBroadrix I hope you're doing well! Have you suggested a feature already? Make sure to post it as a reply to my post if you already did, that way we can vote for the idea as well!
