Logging exericse

Since the iOS update, my fit bit will no longer let me manually log exercise. Does anyone have any solutions? Fitbit- will you be fixing these issues?

All these issues since the update are significant and lead me to reconsider using Fitbit anymore. This was a big investment for me and it isn’t acceptable that so many features (e.g. having to make your texts visible on your phone to see texts on your Fitbit) are no longer working.

But you didn't say why you can't manually log them.

Go into the days of exercise tile; look for the plus sign and or timer at top right; tap it, then 'log previous'.

But if you use the exercise app, you shouldn't have to log exercise.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi- the plus sign is no longer available. I was able to use that option prior to the iOS update

Once a week I leave my fitbit 3 charging while I go out for my morning run. I do however bring my iphone XR each time. Is there a way to have the iphone XR update automatically to share steps with the fitbit app?

As @JohnnyRow points out, go to your sleep logs page, you will find the plus sign there in the upper right hand corner. It has been there for many years, long beer there was a plus on the dashboard.

I am having the same issue after IOS update.

ON the main page, where it says Xof 5 days of exercise this week, there used to a plus sign to the right.

When I go for a run, I hit the plus sign and it pulls up a map an i hit go. It then tracks my run.

The plus sign is gone.

I dont want to manually log a run after I do it.

I want the fitbit to track my run when I hit go and end my run when I hit finished.

Solved it.

The plus sign is still gone.

Click on the x of 5 row.

Top right hand corner, click on the stop watch.

Next tab, at the top, click on Track.

That brings up the tracking

as mentioned above. Tap on the exercise tile, then look in the top right. This is where the plus sign has been long before and in concurrent to the plus on there dashboard.

It really makes more sense to have the log new exercise on the exercise page and what is the need to have a second plus on the dashboard.

Hello @Tymong and @Ck1389
Update: it appears that the plus sign missing from the exercise tile to manually input your exercise has resolved itself and now appears. (Mine included) Hopefully this resolves your issue and you can now log exercise like you were originally.  😉
