I have all notifications marked on my setting and am still not receiving any emails notifications for low battery life. Might as well not wear it if I am using if for a day or two without anything being recorded. I do not check it every minute to notice when it is low. When I had the Flex model I never had this problem and always received my email notifications. Can someone please provide some help or I might as well get rid of the item and not frustrate myself any longer.

Hello @Jrow and @Dmadassa, thanks for joining the conversation, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community.

If you're not receiving battery notifications via email or phone, I would like to suggest you to reset these notifications by disabling them from the Notifications settings on the online Dashboard. Then, save the settings, enable them back again and save one last time.

Please keep in mind that if your tracker has not synced and the battery is low you won't receive the notification until the tracker has been synced with the Fitbit app.  Additionally, please make sure to check your spam folder in case any email from Fitbit has been redirected there and check that the following settings are enabled in your phone under Settings > Notifications > Fitbit:

  • Allow Notifications
  • Show in Notification Center
  • Show on lock screen

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.

I checked everything when I first set it up. I just unchecked the selections and re-checked. I've also restarted per the instructions. If the kinks aren't fixed soon, so they're not eating up so much of my time and causing me a lot of frustation I'm going to return it.

I found that I had turned off notifications on my iPhone for Fitbit and have now turned them back on.  Thank you for the post.

Hi Marco,

I noticed last evening on my iphone app that battery was red and decided to wait for a notification on my phone or an email.  Since then my silent alarm did work this morning nor were any steps recorded during the night.  I did receive an email this morning at 6:54 and never did receive a notification on my iphone.  Please help get the notifications to work and the email to send earlier in the battery drain cycle.

Thank you,

Nick

Hello @NickRP, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have shared your experience with me, did you sync your tracker the night when the battery was red? Please note that unless the tracker gets synced, the app will not now the exact battery level of the tracker, which might prevent you from receiving the battery level email and notification at the correct time.

If your tracker got synced but you're still not getting the battery level notification via email or through your phone, please go to the Notifications Settings on the online Dashboard. In here, un-check the boxes for Low Battery and click on SAVE, then check them back and SAVE again for the changes to apply. After that, monitor the tracker and let me know if you're still experiencing this issue.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.

  • I’ve tried all the suggestions and my notifications still didn’t work. When you say it has to be synced, do you mean a manual sync every day?  Because I have “all day sync” turned on already. Thanks

Hello @jwlarkins59, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would like to thank you for having tried the troubleshooting steps provided on this thread. If you're still unable to see battery notifications on your phone, and you already have "All-day Sync" enabled, I would like to suggest you to set up your Fitbit device as a new device to reset the connection between the device and your phone, improving the notifications. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.

To set up your device as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
  5. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.
