Low battery notifications

Can someone please tell me how to set up the low battery notifications so I get alerted on my iPhone when my battery needs charging. Step by step instructions would be extremely helpful

It would be so much easier for the watch to tell me the battery is low than search for an email

I went to my profile/notifications and both my email and my text were already checked, but I have not been getting the warnings. I unchecked them and then re-checked them. Then I found one answer that said to uncheck them and Save and then check them and Save. So I just did that. I won't know if that worked until my battery gets low again.
