Map won't download after syncing

I've noticed a couple of maps haven't downloaded even though I keep syncing. I have tried a few times without success

Welcome to the Community @nicnoc! It's great to have you here  Since the day of your post there have been updates to the iOS app, is your app up to date? Are you still experiencing this issue with the maps not showing on your app? If you are please log out of the app, restart your phone and log back in to review if the maps are showing on your account.

As of 5th May my android app won't sync to display maps. I get the red circle whirling.

If I click on a whirling red circle I can see my gps red trail on a blan bakcground.

Google maps just not coming through.

I've logged out, switched off, on and logged back in.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled app. all not working since 5th May. 

PC/web view is fine with GPS trail overlaid on Google map.

It's the app that's not syncing with Google maps.  Any ideas ? Thanks

I get exactly the same thing on my phone. I have tried just about everything i can think of to resolve but with no success thus far.

This is why i need to defer to the subject matter experts for assistance.
