Miles are way off

I'm very new to Fitbit
Second day actual 🙂

But my miles are way under
Yesterday I walked 13 miles split between the morning and night
I know the mileage because of another device and I have drove it many times to check it
Fitbit said just over 10 miles 😞

Today I walked 4 miles
All good, manually added

But the extra 2 miles I did have come only 1 extra mile

The stairs are correct
The steps almost correct, I gather
The calories I've no idea correct or not 🙂

Welcome to fitbit!

Your fitbit calculates distance my multiplying your step count by your stride length so if the distance is too low either your fitbit is missing steps or your stride length is too small.

If you're not certain about the accuracy of the step count you could do a test where you count out 100 steps and see how many your fitbit says.

Assuming the steps are reasonable then it has to be a problem with your stride. Your fitbit uses a default length (actually two: one for walking, one for running) that's calculated from your profile settings (mainly height) so it's worth checking that your settings are correct: https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/edit

If they are then it may be that the default isn't working for you. The following article explains how to measure and set your own stride length:
