Missing Nutrition section after the app update

Last night I updated the Fitbit app.

This morning I started logging in my food and I’ve noticed that under the Macronutrients section there was no Nutrients section anymore.

I’ve had a hard time finding a place to ask a question about this, eventually l ended up requesting a chat. The person there requested photos, so l sent one from yesterday’s log- complete with the nutrients section, and one from today without the section.

The person asked if l can see the section from yesterday. I said yes. Then they told me to check my log for today, asked me if there is anything else they can help me with and closed the chat before I had time to reply.

Needless to say the Nutrient section is still missing, and I have to check every item l ate for its nutritional value, instead of having an overview.

I am annoyed and upset with this change and with the time l’ve spent trying to speak to someone, and the answer l’ve got.

Please fix the missing nutrient section.

Hello everyone!

Thank you for confirming that the issue has been resolved with the latest app update (3.41). I appreciate your time and feedback!

We roll out the app updates in phases and you should see the option to update the app soon, if you still don't see it. You can confirm the steps to update the app in this help article:

After last nights Fitbit update, my Show Nutrition is totally gone!  Has this happened to anybody?

Hi @IRatus @MissKitty230, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums.

I am sorry to hear about the frustration this situation has caused. Thank you for sharing the details of the issue and for your efforts to resolve it. I recommend trying the following:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.

If the issue persists, please uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for this information I will try that.

I am hoping that Fitbit hasn’t moved this awesome nutrition info to professional where it needs a paid account.

I am having the same issue. I can see nutrients on past days but not current day. I tried all steps suggested including uninstalling and reinstalling but it hasn’t resolved.

Thank you for answering, l am thinking about deleting the app and reinstalling it.

But before l do that l want to know if all the data will be lost.

I didn’t lose my data, however uninstalling and reinstalling didn’t fix my issue.

That’s good to know, thank you so much.

I hope the next app version restores the nutrient section. I log my food every day and it’s in my top reasons for using the app.

Same here. It’s weird because I can see it on any previous day. Just not “today” as I log stuff.

I’m having this issue as well. Tried logging out, force quitting the app and restarting phone and that didn’t help. I hope this is just a bug from the update and not permanently gone.

I just noticed mine is the same way. Yesterday’s nutrients are now available to show/hide but wasn’t at any point yesterday while I was logging food.

My app does not allow me to view the expanded nutritional for today. However, I can view another day and it is there?

I have the same issue (Nutrients for today not appearing, but it appears for previous days).  I tried all recommended fixes, including deleting and reinstalling the FitBit app.  It is still missing.  Please fix, as this is a very useful feature.

Version 3.39 as of this morning - booked food - no nutrients section.

Took app out of memory and restarted - no nutrients section.

Logged out, removed app from memory, restarted app and logged in - no nutrients section.

Since the previous days show nutrient summaries, it would seem to point to there being a backend issue and not an app issue. though that is only supposition.

I’m having the same issue, where I can see my nutrients for previous days but not today’s. I’ve tried the log out, shut down thing and I’ve tried uninstalling the app, but still don’t see anything. I’m assuming that this is a bug in the code itself that has to be resolved by a push update to the app, but I really hope it’s fixed soon, as I use diet monitoring to help a chronic illness that I have and really don’t want to have to download a different food tracker.

Let's all hope it is another one of FitBit's "Broke for one day after update" bugs.

And not another indication of just how bad their Quality Assurance effort appears to be.

I’ve tried this too and it doesn’t work. Does Fitbit plan on fixing this or are they going to leave us hanging?

Well this is an automated without checking the issue response if I’ve ever saw one.
