MobileTrack won't sync

I forgot my Fitbit at home today so I added the MobileTrack device in the app. It won't sync properly. After I click "Sync Now" it says "Syncing..." and then reverts back to the sync now display. Under MobileTrack it still says "Not synced yet." In the app dashboard it keeps switching between the data with and without my phone, so I know it hasn't really synced. When I remove the MobileTrack device it shows the data without my phone's steps. When I add it back, the problem is the same. My app is up to date. I restarted my phone. I just want the data from today to sync right so I can remove my phone as a device.

Hello, I fixed the problem myself. I believe the issue was with Apple's Health app not letting the data go to the Fitbit app. I deleted the Fitbit app and then reinstalled it. When I logged back in, I got the popup asking to let Fitbit read the Health app's data. Now MobileTrack is working.

It’s good to see you in the community, @puffens2000.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. Syncing difficulty is usually caused by a missing requirement and I recommend following the complete troubleshooting steps from this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

If your MobileTrack is not syncing, please give a try to the following steps:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap your profile picture > MobileTrack.
  2. Scroll down and tap the option to remove the device.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile icon > Set Up a Device.
  5. Choose MobileTrack and follow the onscreen instructions.

Hope this helps.

Hi, removing, restarting, and adding didn’t help.

Could the problem be with permissions? When I set up MobileTrack, I don’t get a pop up from Apple’s health app asking for permission. Fitbit isn’t listed within in the health app and can’t be added in the health app directly.
