I have a question about how this technology can be used.
Is it possible to have a child wear this, and if the child's heart stops at night, send a very loud alarm to the parents' iPhones?
Thanks

Welcome to the forums @reldacram
It's reasonable to assume that in time, more sophisticated devices will be available. Do a search and you'll find all sorts of heart rate and breathing monitors. There are also articles explaining that without proper training that there are often false warnings from the devices.
Quote from Fitbit's informational link - click to go there
"This product is not a medical device, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. With regard to accuracy, Fitbit has developed leading hardware and algorithms to track fitness information and is constantly improving its products to calculate measurements as accurately as possible. The accuracy of Fitbit devices is not intended to match medical devices or scientific measurement devices, but is intended to give you the best information available in a wearable activity tracker."
The short answer for you would be "no" at this time.
