After updating to iOS 13, my Fitbit Versace has been receiving MULTIPLE repeated calendar notification. I’ve tried everything suggested in previous post with no relief.

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @SZ1988
I see your having notification issues. As you may know notification issues is a known issue and the Fitbit Team is working hard to resolve the issue. Hopefully a fix will come out soon. You can keep an eye out on the notification issue here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/td-p/3...
In the meantime I do understand the repeating calendar events can be quite frustrating. You can turn off calendar events for the time being on your Fitbit until the issue is resolved. It will certainly quiet down the noise for ya.
Here’s how:
open your Fitbit app
tap profile picture on upper left
scroll down an tap your Fitbit type (located just under “My Family”)
now scroll down to notifications
now disable calendar events
tap “today” at the bottom of your screen
now sync to active the choice
😃 Although this does not resolve the notification issue I hope I provided you with a solution that can work for now. If I did indeed help you would you please tap the “best answer” box under my post? It helps others who come to this community find answers to questions similar to yours. I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

There is no calendar option to turn off. Is there another way to turn it off?

Hi @Nicole1717 - Maybe a couple screen shots will help?
From your iPhone, (as @SunsetRunner said), tap Account —> Versa —> Notifications —> Calendar Events. It would be helpful if you could provide a screen shot if you don’t see these screens from my iPhone Fitbit app.

Hi - I seem to have the opposite problem. I get repeat alerts of the same calendar event on my fitbit until the event has passed. And this can go on for several days, several times a day until the event. Please help! It is quite annoying

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @bgirl2019
I moved your post here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Multiple-calendar-notifications/m-p/3899049#U3899049
I happen to see your post under the iOS notification issue and your issue with repeated calendar alerts can be temporarily fixed by following the instructions listed as “best answer” here in this thread. Again, it’s only a temporary fix until the notifications issue can be fully addressed but I’m sure you will prefer not having the repeated events for now.
😃 I hope this helps

Is there a fix coming soon for this?! I received 25+ calendar notifications for three separate events in a time span of less than two hours today. This happens quite frequently and usually starts right at midnight and goes throughout the day but today they’re back to back not even 15 mins apart. I’m about ready to throw in the towel w my Versa.

I’m also hoping for a fix! I got more than 40 notifications for an event that is two days away. This has been going on for too long and I’m beyond frustrated. I rely on my Fitbit for important alerts and turning calendar alerts off is frankly a ridiculous suggestion.

I totally agree w u! It’s beyond frustrating!! It’s like every time you look down to check there’s the calendar again and then half the time I don’t get my phone messages! It’s like the calendar has just taken over. If nothing is done soon I’m throwing this FitBit away and will not buy another.

I have also been having this problem since November. I called them again yesterday and today and was still told I should just turn off calendar notifications as a temporary fix. They couldn’t tell me when this would be fixed, only that it would most likely be rolled out as an update on the App Store. They will not be getting back to me about this either - I should just wait for the update. This is completely unacceptable.
One of the main reasons for getting a Fitbit were the calendar alerts for me but now this doesn’t even work. I feel like they don’t understand what is going on yet here I am getting 20-40 reminders for just one event in my calendar. I am frustrated beyond measure.

I’ve had less notifications but when they do go off it’s still at times that don’t coincide with the calendar times. Ready for that update!!

So Saturday at midnight I first noticed my Versa going off with “Lunar New Year” calendar notifications. It kept popping up every five minutes! By 4:30am I was down to 25%. I finally took it off bc I couldn’t get any sleep. When I woke up two hours later to put it on the charger it was dead. I plugged it in to charge and it wouldn’t come on at all. I changed charging locations and it still wouldn’t come on. I’ve had this Versa less than two years. I couldn’t Support and got an answer that they wouldn’t replace it because it was out of warranty.
All the crap we’ve been dealing with these last few months of these devices not working right and now it’s completely dead and I have nothing. Well I won’t be purchasing another. This was my third and last FitBit purchase. Never again!!

I got my Inspire HR in July 2019 and have been having these same issues since November 2019. Fitbit moderators keep saying a fix is coming and to just turn off calendar notifications in the interim, but how long are they going to keep us waiting?!? It has been so long now, I'm seriously considering giving up and buying an Apple Watch. UGH!

Hi @SunsetRunner - Could you please reach out to Fitbit and request an update on this fix?
I've lost track of the number of "Passover" and "Good Friday" notifications that I've received over the past few days. This bug has such a huge impact on the user experience - I don't understand why it hasn't been addressed by Fitbit.
They should at least provide us the courtesy of an update, and potential timeline for a fix (so we can at have some hope). Turning OFF calendar notifications is not a good option, nor a solution. This issue has been going on for six (6) months now - way too long.
Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

That’s why I left them and went to Apple Watch. They weren’t willing to do anything about it.
Good luck, I’ll never go back!!

Hi @PrncsWarior - So sorry that you had to shift from Fitbit to an Apple Watch, but I'm glad it is working out for you.
I'm certainly considering making the jump to an Apple Watch for three primary reasons:
1. Fitbit's slow response to fix bugs such as this one
2. Fitbit's stance on not allowing me to share my health data w/ Apple health
3. Fitbit's new requirement forcing me to set my location access to "Always On"
This really bums me out, because I've loved this company and their products.
The Apple Watch is really overkill for my needs. I love my Charge 2 (I'm on my 2nd one) - it is perfect for my workout and sleep tracking. I also prefer to use the Fitbit app for my workout data versus Apple health. Plus, the battery life on the Charge 2 is fantastic.
I'm not going to give up on Fitbit yet and will try to keep raising awareness on these issues. However, at some point I'll need to make a choice.

Is there any update to this - my Charge 4 is also receiving multiple calendar notifications. Just turning the calendar off isn’t quite a solution...

Disabling functionality isn’t a solution but I see no updates or progress on restoring functionality that we pay $100s for.... the link provided Months ago is not even to the same issue.

I am also having these multiple calendar notifications on my Charge 2. Was not an issue until just recently (last 2-3 months). It is so frustrating. I have been loving my Charge 2 and really want to see this issue fixed. Turning off calendar notifications is such an irrelevant suggestion - it is a function that is offered and if it doesn’t work it should be fixed.
