My Charge HR. Is not tracking my heart rate

Kay Fitbit HR is not displaying my continuous heart rate. It only displaying my resting heart rate.

Hi @Cswoodrn,

The following steps should help with your Charge HR tracking your heart rate:

 

1. I'd recommend wearing your tracker higher up on your arm, about two or three fingers above the wrist. Blood increases the higher up you go on your arm and as a consequence, your HR readings are more accurate.

2. Wear your tracker snug, but not too tight to the point where it restricts blood flow in your arm. 

3. If there's ever a workout where your wrists move arrhythmically and vigorously (think workouts like boxing or P90x), try relaxing your wrist for a few seconds and you should see an accurate HR reading shortly after.

At the same time as the current heart rate isn't shown is the top section on your Fitbit app (where it normally shows a picture and the name of your Fitbit device and the sync status) also messing? If so, this is probably the same problem discussed on a bunch of other threads and seems related to the new software rolled out on Thursday. Short term fix seems to be to close the Fitbit app (double click the button and swipe up on the Fitbit app picture). The click the Fitbit icon again and it should be back to normal. But it only seems to be a short-term fix--a few hours later you'll likely have to do it again.

Thanks so much for your response. I have had this problem for a few weeks. I had another Fitbit HR that was over a year old and it was doing the same thing. I called support and they couldn't help me. I thought maybe I just needed a new one and purchased another one. I did purchase another Fitbit HR and it continues. I tried everything that I could do to fix the issue myself and called support and they tried all the same steps and still did not help. They "just gave up".... Apparently they were not aware of the issue? I do need the HR to be visible due to medical issues while exercising. It seems that if they cared about their customers they would fix the issue.
