My Fitbit One stopped syncing / question about multiple trackers.

All of the sudden my one stopped syncing and none of the suggestions worked to get it to resync. Is there a new suggestion?

I was given a Flex 2 but have been skeptical about using it because it seems like it would be inaccurate because of how you move your arms in the course of a day. Today I wore both my One and the Flex 2. The One has ~400 more steps on it than the Flex 2. Any ideas?

I'd love to get the One to resync but would deal with the Flex 2 if I felt like it was giving accurate counts....

Hello @jbaker10, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for letting me know you have already tried some troubleshooting steps in hopes to resolve the syncing issue affecting your Fitbit One. Would it be possible for you to let me know exactly which troubleshooting steps you've tried so I can determine what can we do next? That will be very helpful.

Now, when it comes to your Flex 2, please note that Fitbit devices have a finely tuned algorithm for step counting. The algorithm is designed to look for intensity and motion patterns that are most indicative of people walking and running.  When working at a desk, cooking, or doing other arm movements, a device on your wrist can pick up some extra steps if it thinks you're walking. Many of these situations—such as working or cooking—do include a few steps in-between stationary periods so the device tries to give you credit for those steps. For the vast majority of customers, the amount of stray steps accumulated is negligible when compared to the entire day.

Finally, if you have more than one device paired to the same account and you forget to take one off before putting on another, the Fitbit app will reconcile the overlapping data to present the most accurate information possible on your dashboard. However, for best results, don't wear more than one device at a time and sync each device before taking it off and putting on another.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I tried deleting the device and re-adding it. I tried deleting the application from my phone and re-adding it. I tried resetting the fitbit itself. Not sure what other options there are. At this point, I am using the Flex 2 but find that it is on average 400-600 steps less than what my One records even though it is not paired. Not sure how to resolve this variance....
