My grandchild entered my passcode incorrectly and my Fitbit asks me to unlock through my iPhone. When i try to do this is says I can use Touch ID or Passcode, however when i move to the next step it only gives me the option of Touch ID. As far as im aware i never set up Touch ID. I can’t just reset my passcode. I have tried to restore factory settings but although I have held the three buttons while waiting for it to shake it doesn’t shake. It only flashes up the Fitbit icon.

Let me help you with your locked device and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. You can follow these instructions to try unlocking your device. Additionally some members have suggested using a different device (an Android if you are using an iOS device) to unlock the device. You can read more about this suggestion here.

Still doesn’t unlock. Have just spent 30 minutes on the phone with Arcy, still locked. She is escalating to higher up the chain. Hope I can get it working very soon as I’m running out of patience.
