My Versa is not syncing

Since the iOS 13 update 13.2.1 my watch has been shutting itself down intermittently. I’ve been able to get it back on and eventually get it to sync to my phone but I lose my step count and can’t recover it. For instance I was out and about for about 4 hours but only logged about 1700 steps because Versa **ahem** itself down. Is anyone else experiencing anything like this and could it be due to the iOS updates?

I’m so happy your syncing again @jamiec3320

I would agree that the iOS updates coming in at rapid speed has not been favorable for sure. Hopefully you will sync without any further issue now. Happy Stepping to you and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hello @jamiec3320

I’m sorry you’re currently having issues with your Fitbit Versa. Let’s first check to make sure your iOS device is indeed compatible with the new Fitbit App. Please look here to see if your iOS device is listed as compatible: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315  If you are indeed compatible let’s try restarting your Fitbit Versa and see if that resolves the problem. You will not lose any data doing this. Here’s how:

  1. For Fitbit Versa and Fitbit Ionic, press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. For Fitbit Versa Lite Edition and Fitbit Versa 2, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

If the problem persist try shutting your Fitbit Versa off then on again. Here’s how:

On your watch, open the Settings app> About > Shutdown > confirm the shutdown.

To turn your watch back on, press the back button.

😃 Please let me know if this resolves your issue. If indeed it does can you please tap the “choose as best answer” under my post? It helps others find the answers to similar issues. I’d really appreciate it!

Unfortunately that solution didn’t work. I think it’s probably attributed to the iOS 13.2 update because I didn’t have any problems until that update. The newest update iOS 13.2.2 didn’t correct it, hopefully, it will be addressed in a future update.

Hello again @jamiec3320

Im sorry you’re still experiencing syncing issues. Can you try force shutting the Fitbit App and restart your iOS device? Here’s how?
log out of your Fitbit App

force shut your Fitbit App by swiping the app upward

turn off your Bluetooth

now turn off your iOS device completely and wait 1-2 mins then restart your iOS device

turn your Bluetooth back on

log back into your Fitbit App as you normally would with your email address and password

try to sync your device now

😃 m hopefully this will help your syncing issue

I tried that as well and then I started getting device not found. I deleted
the device and reinstalled it so right it’s working I’m just waiting to see
if it happens again. I really think iOS 13.2 is the culprit and iOS 13.2.2
did not fix the issue. Hopefully the next update addresses and corrects the
problem.
