Welcome to the Fitbit Community @YingNZ Woman Very Happy, hope you're doing great! Well, is not necessary to remove the Surge from your account since you can perfectly use both on the same account.

What I'd recommend during the set up process for your Blaze is to take away the Surge so it won't interfere while you complete the set up. I'm assuming that your app keeps saying "Searching" due to it is looking for both trackers at the same time.

And as you know, do the following in order to have the Blaze:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account tab.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.

Try this and let me know if that works!

Hi iv tried doing thay already by hiding my surge far far away haha but not
sure if you can see the watch is also stuck on setup. Not as hurried now
because my surge is already doing it all. I guess ill wait till someone
else gets the same issue and hope they found a fix

Try the following:

  1. Restart your tracker using the instructions in How do I restart my tracker?
  2. Try the setup process again.
  3. Reboot your mobile device (turn it off and then back on).
  4. Try setting up your tracker again.
  5. If you have access to a computer, try setting up with your computer using the computer instructions in How do I set up my tracker?
  6. If you can't set up with a computer, uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app and and try setting up your tracker again.

Don't lose the hope yet!
