New FitBit Charge won't link to my phone

Hi. My Fitbit won't connect to my phone. I can add the new device, it tells me it has found the Fitbit Charge but when it tries to
'connect to tracker ' nothing happens. Can anyone help please?( I have the iPhone SE) many thanks

@JeniMighall please know that even though the iPhone SE is still not on our list of Compatible Devices for syncing it has the same Bluetooth hardware as the iPhone 6S so you should be able to set up your tracker. Make sure of the following:

 

1. Your iOS software is updated to the latest version. Verify by going to Settings > General > Software Update to check for updates. 
2. Bluetooth is enabled in iOS settings.
3. The tracker is not already paired to your account. 

Once you have verified the above do the following: 

1. Restart your tracker.
2. After your tracker has restarted, reboot your iOS device. 
3. Open the Fitbit app, tap "Join Fitbit,” and then proceed through the setup process.
