New Sleep graph is terrible

I i’m in agreement with all of those who feel the new sleep Graph is difficult to read, and to understand. I liked the old one. It was simple you could glance at it know what was going on. Now you have to research every item I do not like it. It is not what I signed up for.

We're grateful for you reaching out and sharing your feedback about the latest Sleep interface. Your input helps us understand what's working well and what needs improvement.

We've been reporting it there since 3/28/2024. Yet neither Google nor Fitbit has made any public announcements regarding the matter.

I’ve decided to drop Fitbit. I’ve bought another tracker.
It was several years I used Fitbit devices, since the first tracker, the bracelet with audio jack as connector.
Bye bye

When will they change it back? The consensus is unanimous! At least give us an option in the settings to choose which graph we prefer.

Yes - the new sleep graph is worthless and apparently Google never reads this forum to know how much we think their changes stink because I see no sign of them ever improving the mess they created. So much for customer service!

Do we have any other options???

My gut tells me that someone within the Fitbit/Google universe is actually
listening.

However there will be no quick and immediate "switch back" to the old sleep
interface and metrics, but rather "enhancements" with each new release.

This will take place over the next year or so and we can only hope they
include the "voice of the customer" as part of their feature release cycle.

Bear in mind I have NO data or evidence of this educated guess, and
Google's acquisition of Fitbit makes me slightly more pessimistic as their
overall revenue wouldn't be greatly impacted if even a large chunk of
Fitbit customers said "adios"

Google's overall income likely won't be affected, but if the Fitbit division starts under performing in profits, they may move it to the graveyard like many of their other products.

I have an Apple Watch, but I found it added hours to my sleep, whereas Fitbit has always been very accurate.

The old one is still available on the app on the "Compose" page. A square with an arrow facing up appears at the top of the page on an exercise summary. Tap on the box and the "Compose" page appears with Exercise, Food, Weight, Activity, Badges, Photo, and Sleep buttons. Tap on Exercise and you will see your activities history with the familiar heart rate graph as with tapping on Sleep will bring up your familiar nightly sleep graph. I only wish that Google would put this square box with upward arrow on the today page of the iOS app instead of keeping it hidden on a session report. If you have no "exercise session" on the current day to tap on, use the directional arrow to go back to yesterday's exercise and tap on it.

Thank you for the advice. However I Did not sign up for google. And have allowed my premium status to lapse. I have many disabilities, among them severe spinal stenosis In my lumbar region and my neck. The only the only exercise I do is walk. Not enough of that to make any effect. Although it was nice to have the sleep graph, as the pain wakes me a lot. I had hoped by keeping a journal I might find something to help me with better sleep.
Thank you so much for your time and concern.

Sooooo, they want us to their job in coming up with new ideas and innovations?  Just go back to the old version!

Not anymore.  My Fitbit was stolen by another passenger at security in the airport.  Fine.  I’ve gone old school with a Timex.  No sleep graph, no steps, no heart rate, etc.  Fine.  It only tells me the time.  Perfect.  BYE BYE FITBIT.

Hey Ojlom, you can currently find the "Compose" page in two places that I know of. The first as described above. The new app design is providing one exercise summary below exercise days on the Today page. Tap on it to view the summary. When you view your exercise summary, there are three buttons at the top right of the page. A box with arrow point up, a pencil, and three dots. Tap on the box with up arrow and the "Compose" page will pop up with all your historic data. This includes all exercise sessions, food, sleep, etc. in the old format. This is where the heart rate graphs are, or the sleep graphs and menus as well as other historic data about your activities. The reason it's called "Compose" is because you can distribute these data by email or messenger or however you choose. Try choosing "Next"... and then "Share". All your communication options are listed.

Another way to find this page is to go to the "You" section of the app. Under the Community header, scroll one to the left and find the Feed tile, (cell phones are too narrow to display the four tiles) tap and a page opens asking you "What are you up to?" with a runner, a moon and a camera. Tap on any one of the icons and the "Compose" page will appear with 8 tiles including Sleep. You can also review your badges from there too. This is where all your historic data is hidden by Google or forgotten by Google and therefore not removed. There should be a button on the front page of the iOS app to make this data more accessible.

I agree! If they change the sleep graphing or analytics, it should be an improvement. This is a downgrade. They need to bring back the old sleep stages graph. Seriously thinking of canceling my premium subscription & trading in my Fitbit!
